Chace Weltz refuses ID to police, arrested for obstructing, drug charges and warrants

Carlisle, PA

On August 20, 2019, just after midhight Middlesex Township Police Officers say they initiated a traffic stop on a silver Toyota Camry after observing the passenger side tail lamp was not working. The vehicle pulled into 1121 Harrisburg Pike, the Pike Motel according to police.

The passenger in the vehicle, who was later identified as Chace Weltz, refused to provide  identification and or name after numerous attempts police say.

According to police Weltz was asked, then told to exit the vehicle and refused. Weltz was then removed from the vehicle and resisted arrest.

Authorizes say they learned Weltz warrant from the Cumberland County Sherriff’s Office as well as other warrants for his arrest.

During a search incident to arrest, police say Weltz was found to be in possession of numerous narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
