Two men arrested for alleged rape in Carlisle

Carlisle, PA

On September 7, 2019, Carlisle Police Department (CPD) received the report of a Sexual Assault that occurred near the 300 block of N Hanover Street.  CPD Officers received the report that a female in her 20’s was assaulted and robbed by two men while she walked in the area.  The assault had reportedly taken place on September 7 at approximately 3 am.

Through further investigation, one of the alleged perpetrators were identified as Demetrius Runkle (seen above) and Karim Omar.  Both suspects were located, arrested, and taken to Cumberland County Prison where he will be arraigned on the above.

Both suspects remain jailed in Cumberland County unable to make bail.
