Tip leads Carlisle Police to arrest Michael Joseph Barrick in thefts from vehicle

Carlisle, PA

On August 24, 2019, at about 6AM, the Carlisle Police Department was dispatched to the rear of 148 North. Hanover Street for a complaint of theft from a vehicle.  Police say they learned through local security footage that an unknown male had walked through the rear parking lot of the apartment and American Legion lots.  The suspect was observed on footage trying to open doors on vehicles and succeeded in getting into an SUV and stealing a small pendant.

A tip was submitted  and led to the identification of the suspect as Michael Joseph Barrick of Carlisle. Further investigation led to Barrick has been charged with Theft by unlawful taking, Theft from a motor vehicle, and Loitering and Prowling.
