PA Turnpike accidents leaves deer dead inside car, 3 occupants safe, driver suffers minor injury

Mechanicsburg, PA

New Kingstown Fire Company responded to an accident on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The rescue involved a fellow first responder from Bedford County. The accident occurred eastbound at mile marker 230.8 just after 7:00 this morning October 7, 2019.  First responders removed of 3 uninjured occupants from the vehicle. Squad 33 crew provided medical car to front seat passenger until arrival of EMS.

Authorities say, “The deer made a real mess of everything as you could imagine.”  Crews were on scene assisting EMS for over 30 minutes. There were no life threatening injuries.
