Mechanicsburg Man arrested for Drug Delivery Resulting in Death by Upper Allen Township Police

Mechanicsburg, PA

On Sunday March 22, 2020, the Upper Allen Township Police Department says it responded to a residence for a medical emergency. Police learned that the victim was deceased from a possible drug overdose. The Cumberland County Coroner’s Office later confirmed that the victim’s death was caused by an overdose of illicit drugs.

During the subsequent investigation, police identified that Clayton Carroll and Andrei Burkett were responsible for delivering drugs to the victim according to authorities.

Arrest warrants were obtained for both suspects and Clayton Carroll was taken into custody on April 30, 2020. The Cumberland County Drug Task Force, Mechanicsburg Borough Police Department, and the Pennsylvania  State Police assisted with serving the arrest warrant.

Clayton Carroll was committed to the Cumberland County Prison on $65,000 bail pending a preliminary hearing.
