Joseph Mosso Jr arrested in Carlisle for strangulation, 3 other charges

Carlisle, PA

On August 30th, 2019, at 2028 hours, Carlisle Borough Police were dispatched to the parking lot of Cracker Barrel, 3 E. Garland Drive, Carlisle Borough, for a male yelling in the corner of the parking lot. 

Police say they learned a physical altercation took place between Joseph Mosso Jr and a male victim.  During the altercation, Mosso allegedly placed his hands around the neck of the victim and applied pressure while telling him he was going to kill him in addition to striking the victim numerous times. 

Police arrested the 24-year old Mosso was arrested for strangulation, terroristic threats, simple assault, and harassment. Mosso posted a $20,000 surety bond earlier today and was released from Cumberland County Prison. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled before Magisterial District Judge Jonathan R. Birbeck on September 18, 2019, at 9:30AM
