Dakwan Edwards arrested by MIddlesex Township Police for half pound of “fresh Marijuana” following traffic stop, on bond for similar charge

Carlisle, PA

On August 16, 2019, just after 9PM Middlesex Township Police Officers say initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at the I-76 (Turnpike) on the ramp from the Harrisburg Pike for a vehicle code violation.

Following a brief investigation police say they learned Dakwan Edwards and his two passengers were traveling from New York to Pennsylvania while having approximately a half pound of fresh marijuana in the trunk.

Edwards was taken into custody and transported to the Cumberland County Booking Center on charges of:

Possession with Intent to Deliver
Possession of Marijuana
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
General Lighting Requirements
No Rear Lights

Edwards has a Pennsylvania driver’s license but is believed to live in Bronx New York. He remains in Cumberland County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bond. His bond was reduced from $50,000 at his preliminary hearing.

Edwards faces trial for Possession with Intent to Deliver and other charges in Northumberland County following an arrest in June 2017.
