Authorities in Cumberland County looking for alleged stalker
On Saturday, August 24, 2019, at 2:56 am Carlisle Police say they attempted to stop a tractor trailer as it was leaving the Carlisle Commons Shopping Center in the 1st block of Noble BLVD. According to officers the driver failed to acknowledge the marked police car behind him with its lights and siren activated and entered I81 south bound.
Police say after 3 miles, the driver finally yielded to the traffic stop and pulled to the side of the road. Carlisle Police with the assistance of the PA State Police took the driver into custody without further incident.
Following a brief investiation police say the driver, Eduardo Andrade, was found to be highly intoxicated. Inside the truck officers found two passengers including the 17-year-old son of the driver. According to police both individuals were also found to have also been consuming alcohol.
Andrade, of Eagle Pass Texas, was transported to Cumberland County Prison Booking center for a legal blood draw, processing and arraignment. Andrade was charged with Felony fleeing or attempting elude Police while DUI, DUI general impairment, DUI highest rate, Reckless endangering another person, Furnishing Alcohol to a minor, and several vehicle code violations.
Andrade was arraigned and committed to Cumberland County Prison on $25,000 Dollars bail. He has since been released after a surety bond was posted.
