Carlisle Police say they learned Claudia Amos had taken significant steps toward an assault on her ex-boyfriend. Among those steps police say she created significant plans and enticed another individual to participate in an attack of the victim up to and including death.
With assistance from the East Pennsboro Township Police Department, Amos was taken into custody enroute to carry out the assault according to authorities.
Police say Amos was found in possession of numerous items which were to be used in the attack and to later conceal / destroy evidence.
Amos was arraigned on charges of Solicitation to Commit Murder Criminal Solicitation to Commit Robbery, Intimidation in Child Abuse Cases, Criminal use of Communication Facility and Criminal Solicitation. She was denied bail and was lodged at the Cumberland County Prison pending a preliminary hearing currently scheduled for May 13, 2020 before Magisterial District Judge Jonathan R. Birbeck. Amos has no known criminal history in Pennsylvania.
