Swatara Police: 104 calls to 911, threats to police leads to arrest

Harrisburg, PA

On Tuesday, April 2, 2019, the Dauphin County 911 center reported receiving 104 phone calls from Stephen  Ilijic between the hours of 12:40AM and 7:14AM.  Authorities say many of these phone calls Ilijic was harassed and threated threatening dispatchers. 

During a phone call with a Swatara Township Police officers alleged he made statements indicated that he would cause life threatening harm to the officers. 

The Dauphin County District Attorney’s office approved an arrest warrant charging Ilijic with Harassment and Obstruction of the Administration of Governmental Functions.  Officers from Swatara Township say they spoke with Ilijic for over two hours on the phone after which he was taken into custody at his residence in the 500 block of Luther Road at 12:41 pm without further incident. 

The Dauphin County Crisis Reponse Team assisted the Swatara Police with this incident.  Ilijic is currently being evaluated at a local medical facility and will be arraigned on the charges at a later date.

For safety reasons, additional temporary security measures were put into place at the Swatara Township Municipal building prior to Ilijic  being taken into custody.
