Steelton Police arrest two following investigation into child endangerment

Steelton, PA

The Steelton Police recently charged, and today February 14, 2019, arrested two residents each with 9 counts of endangering the welfare of children due to an investigation they say began back in October. 

On October 19, 2018 officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of Spruce Street when it was discovered that eight children ranging in ages from 1 to 10 years of age where left home alone according to police. 

Authorities say the children were found alone with there residence in unlivable conditions and they were all taken into protective custody.  

Police say Dauphin County Children in Youth responded to the scene and assisted in the investigation. 

On February 7, 2019  criminal charges were filed against Jamie Himes and Jason Crawford for nine counts of endangering the welfare of children.
