Police arrest 21 year old they say stole dog suspect didn’t think was properly cared for

Enola, PA

On September 30, 2018, at 4:04 pm, the East Pennsboro Township Police say they received a phone call in reference to a dog being stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Fourth Street, Summerdale. Police say the dog was last seen at approximately 10:30 pm the prior night when the dog was put in his outdoor kennel for the evening.

When the owner returned home from work at approximately 3:30 pm, he told police dog was gone.

Authorities say investigation their revealed that Tyler James Morris, aged 21, of the 300 block of South Street, Wellsville, took the dog because he did not feel that the dog was being properly cared for.

Police believe Morris came onto the property at approximately 1:00 am on September 30, 2018, and took the dog which he kept until the dog was returned to the police department. Morris was charged with Theft and Receiving Stolen Property and will face a preliminary hearing before District Court Judge Sanderson.
