Man in argument gets arrested for false ID to cops say Carlisle Police, woman arrested for interfering with police, public drunkeness

Carlisle, PA

On August 11, 2019, at approximately 10:30pm, Carlisle Police officers were patrolling the 700 block of N. Hanover St and say they  observed a verbal domestic between a male and female.

The male was stopped and authorities say he identified himself as “Jamal Jones”. It was later revealed his real name was Howard McLean Jr, and he had been providing a false name to Officers during an official investigation. 

The 41-year-old Mclean Jr. was subsequently arrested for the violation.

The woman in in the incident Melanie Myers  was found to be intoxicated.  Police say Myers attempted to interfere with police who were taking McLean into custody. According to police Myers kicked an officer and swung her purse at multiple officers, Myers was arrested for public drunkenness and transported to Cumberland County Prison where she was arraigned for Obstructing Administration of Law; Resisting Arrest; Public Drunkenness; and Harassment.
