On November 23, 2018 police in Wilkes-Barre responded to 768 N Pennsylvania Ave in reference to a shooting. The victim, 18 year old Jason Shedlock, was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital for treatment where he passed away a short time later.
An Autopsy performed by the Luzerne County Coroners office ruled the death as a homicide from a single gunshot wound.
Police in Wilkes-Barre say their investigation identified the above 18 year old Kahzmeek Prater as a suspect in the homicide. Earlier today Prater was arraigned on charges of Involuntary manslaughter as well as others charges including drug charges and making false statements to police.
Prater was arraigned before District Justice Malloy who set bail at $150,000. Prater remains in Luzerne County Prison unable to make bail.
